11/SM - QA Engineer (Software Engineer in Test - API & Automation)

Profile description: Automation QA Engineer

Developer profile: We are seeking an Automation QA Engineer to design and maintain test automation frameworks for our API and microservices-based applications. This role is ideal for an experienced Software Engineer in Test who thrives in high-volume transaction environments and is passionate about continuous improvement in test automation.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust test automation suites for APIs and applications.

• Develop and execute component tests for APIs and microservices.

• Define, track, and report on automation test metrics and KPIs.

• Continuously optimize test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Technical requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on API and microservices testing.

• Strong automation skills with expertise in Jest TS, Postman, JMeter, and Cucumber/Gherkin.

• Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Apigee, and cloud-based testing.

• Solid knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and automation frameworks.

• Ability to analyze test automation effectiveness and refine testing strategies accordingly.

• Hands-on experience in working with Cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform preferred).

• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work in a distributed team.

• Ability to work with software vendors to evaluate new tools and technologies.
