Job description

Core responsibilities:

- Developing and implementing security strategies within Azure environments.

- Continuously assess and improve the security posture of Azure infrastructure and applications.

- Design and maintain identity and access management policies, including the use of Azure Active Directory and role-based access control (RBAC).

- Implement and manage threat protection using Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel.

- Manage encryption and key management processes with Azure Key Vault.

- Automate security processes and integrate compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

- Carrying out security audits, including regular penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.

- Maintaining incident response plans and leading the incident response team for security incidents.

- Designing disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans (BCP) with Azure Site Recovery and other relevant Azure services.

- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into all aspects of cloud migration and development.


Job requirements

Required skills and qualifications:

- In-depth knowledge of Azure services and architecture with a focus on security aspects.

- Experience with configuring and maintaining security tools within Azure.

- Strong understanding of network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.

- Proficient in scripting and automating tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other programming languages.

- Experience with implementation of governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) frameworks.

- Certifications such as the Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or other relevant security certifications are an advantage.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a security-focused role within cloud environments, with an emphasis on Azure.
